Gathered Around the Fire

With our furnace temporarily out of commission, the kids spent a good part of the day playing by the fireplace. Even though it’s just a gas one, it puts out quite a bit of heat.

Legos are the go-to activity at our house…thankfully Luke is wise beyond his years around them and doesn’t try to eat them….he’s really fascinated with taking them apart and trying to stick them back together…..him and David will be having a lot of fun in a year or two!

David made a lego boat for Esther today and she loaded it up with her little animals and spent literally hours role-playing with it. One of these days I’m going to get a video of her doing this, but it’s hard because she gets really embarrassed if she knows I’m watching her.

FUN! We know that feeling all too well out here in NB, we’re very glad to have our gas fireplace also! Too cute about the legos, they are the BEST! Luke sounds like Alex, no eating, what a blessing for the third child to be like that. We haven’t had to childproof so much with Alex…or am I just more relaxed???
Probaby a bit of both.
Didn’t know your furnace was out. Is it fixed yet?
Mom -yep, it was running again Monday evening. A switch blew on it because, unknown to us, we were supposed to be cleaning the air filter every month….it was clogged and caused the furnace to overheat, which over a period of days/weeks blew the safety switch.
