Happy Birthday Esther!
I foolishly left our camera in North Bend last weekend – so I’m missing some from the family get-together, but here’s a few other ones I took with Peter’s work camera.

I decorated Esther’s room for her birthday, using items saved from the past. This chair used to hang in my room from when I was 10 years old until I got married. Actually I remember Peter and I sitting in it together long ago.

This shelf came from my Aunt, a while ago.

These pictures also came from my room as a child.

I had fun with it and the only cost was paint and time!

Decorating her “flower” cake with Melissa and Hannah. The girls were just trying to get as much candy on as possible….then David came home and tried to improve it artistically(sp?). LOL

The finished product.

For her birthday dinner, she requested artichokes, and….

Ribs!
Happy Birthday Sweetie! We love you!

That room is perfect–what a great way to incorporate past and present and cut down on cost at the same time. And I love her taste–ribs and artichokes, such sophisticated taste. The candy is fitting for her age, I suppoose…and her gender. Could we get the camera from Jeremy for you and bring it to meeting this Sunday if Peter’s going to be there? I could meet Aunt JR at McD’s or Safeway easily. Email me and let me know.
What a fantastic little girls room! You did such a nice job Tracy! Any little girl would love a chair swing in her room, let alone one decorated so pretty! It was such a perfect use for that chair. Esther has great taste in food, MMM.
Hey Tracy – love the room, you did an awesome job and I’m glad you found a place to put that swing up! Looks like a fun time with the kiddos!
What a pretty little room …. you did a great job … love the cake.
What a great room–so cute! Love the butterfly stencil, especially! Now that girl has outstanding taste, I must say. Ribs!? and Artichokes!? Awesome.
artichokes and ribs? must be the maternal grandparent’s influence! The room looks great, every girl’s dream and a party’s success is measured by it’s mess!
CUTE room!!! Is this the room she was in, or is it the one right next to the toy/guest room? You did a great job with the stencils as well! Better keep that chair away from the boys…hehe.
That is adorable – what a little girl’s dream room! I love the hanging chair, and you did a great job on the stenciling too. She must have been excited and pleased. But probably won’t appreciate it fully until she is older. I love the idea of passing things down to our children from when we were young. Makes me wish I’d saved more of my stuff.
