Valentine”s Day

We’ve never really celebrated Valentine’s Day as a couple or a family,  but the kids are getting older and suddenly it seems like a good opportunity to teach them about practical Christian love and kindness.  Tonight I created these jars so that over the next few days we can write down little things we love about each other and put them in the jars.  As you can see, I added some candy to up the excitement factor.  :)

We’ll see how they do.

That’s a great idea! I like the idea of using the opportunity of a holiday that really focuses on silly or lustful things and bringing in the attributes of loving one another. Love isn’t just hearts and flowers! LOL!

That is a super idea! Very nice and I think I’ll steal it for future use!

What a sweet idea! I was just thinking this week that I will really enjoy celebrating Valentine’s Day with my little boy…I got him a couple board books—1 that tells him about our love for him, and 1 that shows him how to express love for others.
