Well, I’m typing this on Grandma R’s computer in Auburn. We’ve been down here since yesterday evening and it looks like we’ll be here for awhile yet. Thankfully, I remembered to bring a passel of David’s schoolbooks.
When we first arrived yesterday evening this is what was waiting for the kids:

3 Chests — one full of pirate stuff, one full of princess stuff, and one full of balls! They immediately dug in and this is the result:

David as a cute little…I mean, SCARY pirate.

Esther as a sweet princess.

And Luke as himself

Of course if one ball is a good thing, then 4 is better….might as well just climb right in!
We’ve also been spending some time at “the old house” which has bad air or something. As soon as we arrive they start shrieking and running in circles and making a huge racket. It must be something to do with all the clean, wide-open space.
I’m sure it’s been making great impressions on our prospective tenants!

One example of such behaviour….I used the action shot on the camera for this one.

During a brief, saner moment.
Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! As you can probably guess, my intention is for this to chronicle (mainly through photos) our children’s lives for family and friends. It will also be a record for me, as they change so fast and it is hard to remember all the things they do and say from one year to the next. Hopefully it will also remind me to take more pictures.
Realistically, I don’t know how often I’ll be able to update it ….we’ll just have to see how things go.
To start things off, here are a few pictures from our trip to Science World on Saturday. We had a fun time although it was super crowded! We always seem to spend the most time in the “Eureka” exhibit, and today, especially for Luke, it was a dream come true. He had as many balls as he could hold and water all around to play in! The “Bodyworks” exhibit was definitely meant for more mature audiences. It was a case of walking in and saying “hmmm….our kids don’t need to learn about this just yet, and “casually” walking out again.”
We missed the cautionary sign at the entrance. LOL.
