An insect? A racecar?  This is kinda’ like looking at the clouds and using your imagination to come up with valid formations.  :)  My only excuse was that I was baking and constructing it at 11pm after working a long day at Peter’s clinic and after 2 hours of driving time taking the kids to Canada and back.  It could have looked like a turtle for all I cared at that point.  And….thankfully, Darius is very uncritical. 

The birthday boy eating chips and cheeze whiz while waiting for the other guests to arrive at the beach.  He has very refined tastes, just like his Mom and Dad. 

Opening presents…his favorites turned out to be a little “baby” from Grandpa and Grandma C. and a large airplane from Granny C.  Oh, and his own(!!) crocs with little turtles on them.  He didn’t want me to take them off to change his diaper.

Wading in Birch Bay…the day turned out to be pretty warm.  Poor Josiah doesn’t have enough fat on him — he looks kinda’ cold.

We had a fun get-together to celebrate “Granny’s” 80th birthday on July 26th.  Grandma C. put on an amazing spread of food and we all hung out in the backyard which was gorgeous with all her carefully-tended gardens.  It was a nice chance to see extended family that we don’t see very often!

We got to meet Melissa for the first time.  She is my cousin Marty & Joanne Anstey’s daughter.

Here’s a very poor quality video of (left to right) Peter, Marty, Andrew, David, Daniel, and Jamie making music together.  I was holding Brianna while trying to take this video, so that’s my excuse. :)  Notice the cool green instrument Daniel is playing…I believe it’s called a “melodica”.

Sorry for the posting lapse everyone.  I’m not over my sickness yet, but hopefully will be coming out of it in the next few weeks.  I don’t remember it ever lasting much past 15 weeks.(p.s. Peter posted that last post — the Allen story actually doesn’t hold much appeal for me right now.  :)  )Anyways, everyone here is fine….here are a few pics from Peter’s birthday yesterday.  The kids helped me make this lovely cake for Daddy.
