Okay, well this blog has really died. First, the security changes, and now – just no posting for 3+ months! I’m not even really sure why I stopped posting. Life has been busy, but it’s always been busy. I think sometimes when there’s other stuff going on that I don’t consider appropriate for the blog, it stifles my desire to write lighthearted “kid” posts. It’s easy to get caught up in the bigger issues….but, that being said – I really do aim to get back to blogging. It’s my record of our sweet children and the little memories we make with them everyday. Unfortunately I also haven’t been taking very many photos lately, which REALLY needs to change! Here’s my favorite photo from the last few months:

And for anyone who actually still reads this – check back soon for a complete site remodel ‘from scratch’! I’m thinking cheery and yellow, with an updated banner(finally!). My Man is going to tutor me on Expression Web design. Yes, sometimes that IS what we do for fun.

and puppies…

spend lots of time on gameboy games….

eat kitty litter cake….

sleep…

relax…

spin on “spinding” stools….

play with the laser…

and put your feet up when you’ve just had enough.

In the hours before the wedding last Saturday, I was watching my daughter sleep in our hotel room and reflecting on the Lord’s mercies towards us in so many little and not-so-little ways. Firstly, that he brought Kathy and John together…the love and joy shines so brightly between them!

Secondly, that our hotel room somehow turned out to be a room with 2 double beds instead of the 1 king bed that they originally told us was the only one left — 2 beds is MUCH better for a family of 5!

Thirdly, that the hotel let us check-in early, making it possible for Esther and Luke to have naps before the wedding….small things, but they make such a difference sometimes!

And last, but not least: that Peter is such a loving and fun Daddy!

Stopping for dinner at a taco stand in Othello, Friday night. MMmmmmm….surprisingly(to me!) the “lengua” ones were the best!

“Can you make it a square?” …that’s what Esther says whenever she needs help aligning her blankie…Luke on the other hand couldn’t care less – as long as he has something soft to hold and his thumb, he’s happy!

Sorry for the posting lapse everyone. I’m not over my sickness yet, but hopefully will be coming out of it in the next few weeks. I don’t remember it ever lasting much past 15 weeks.(p.s. Peter posted that last post — the Allen story actually doesn’t hold much appeal for me right now. � )Anyways, everyone here is fine….here are a few pics from Peter’s birthday yesterday. The kids helped me make this lovely cake for Daddy.
